About the Centre

Our kindergarten yard has been developed into an inviting, natural play space. Families and visitors to our centre walk into an oasis of shrubs and trees that are indigenous to Australia and our local area. There are areas for climbing, tracks for bike riding and running, a grass area, totem poles, areas for quiet play, Indigenous paintings, an undercover area for inclement weather as well as a sandpit, digging pit and rock pit to encourage children to engage with natural materials.

Thanks to the involvement of our families we also have a vegetable and garden bed as well as a large water tank to encourage sustainability and recycling. We also have many family occasions throughout the year including a disco and welcome BBQ. The four year old groups also attend an excursion yearly and Incursions are held at the centre including visits from Drama Toolbox, Wild Reptiles and farm animal programs.

Our centre is open to all children and families irrespective of their religion or background. For families who speak languages other than English we can have all forms of communication translated including emails, telephone conversations, newsletters and notices. We also have interpreters who can facilitate between educators and individual children to support communication, observations and planning.
